Concept and MVP planning
Reclaim
An emotionally intelligent AI companion for women rebuilding themselves.

Reclaim is a sensitive, supportive AI product concept designed for women rebuilding their confidence, identity, routines, boundaries, and future after domestic violence, motherhood-related identity loss, divorce, burnout, or another major life transition.
The product is not positioned as therapy or medical treatment. It is designed as a gentle self-development and reflection companion.
The Problem
Many women know they want to rebuild their lives but feel overwhelmed by where to begin. Traditional productivity tools may feel too mechanical, while general-purpose AI can feel impersonal or unsafe.
Potential Experience
Concept stage — the experience below is the intended direction.
- Daily emotional check-ins
- Guided journaling
- Small personalized actions
- Identity rebuilding exercises
- Future-self prompts
- Boundary reflection
- Progress visualization
- Gentle accountability
- Personal growth timeline
Product Principles
- Emotionally safe
- Nonjudgmental
- Privacy-conscious
- Supportive without dependency
- Gentle but action-oriented
- Clear that it does not replace professional support
Discovery and Research
Research in progressDiscovery in this space has to be handled carefully and consensually. It is in progress and will be written up once complete.
Planned to cover
- Conversations with women rebuilding after a major life transition
- Input from practitioners on safe language and boundaries
- What support people actually want from an app versus a person
Product Strategy
To be documentedPositioning and the strategic bet will be documented after discovery.
Planned to cover
- Who this is for, and explicitly who it is not for
- Positioning next to journaling apps, general AI chat, and professional care
- The safety boundary that defines the product
Prioritization and MVP
To be documentedMVP scope is still being defined.
Planned to cover
- Smallest supportive loop worth shipping
- What gets deliberately left out at v1
- Success criteria that are not engagement-maximising
Launch and Go-to-Market
Not launched yetConcept stage. Nothing has been launched, so there is nothing to report here yet.
Planned to cover
- Trust-first introduction approach
- Partnerships with support organisations
- Privacy commitments made visible before sign-up
Results
No outcomes yetConcept and MVP planning. No usage or outcome data exists yet — this section stays empty rather than estimated.
Planned to cover
- Users and adoption — to be added after the first release
- Qualitative feedback — to be added after supervised early testing
Challenges and Tradeoffs
To be documentedTradeoffs will be recorded as they are actually made.
Planned to cover
- Support without creating dependency
- Personalisation versus data minimisation
- When to step back and route to professional help
What I Learned
To be documentedLessons will be added once the concept has been tested with real users.
What I Would Build Next
- Personalized rebuilding journeys
- Strong safety boundaries
- Private journaling
- Growth visualization
- Optional community
- Voice reflections
- User-controlled personalization
- Crisis resource routing when appropriate
Reflection
This project strengthened my ability to design for sensitive contexts, define non-negotiable product principles, and think carefully about the ethical boundaries of AI features.
